AHTS ‘Emre Omur’ is the most powerful tug within the Turkish fleet. Having recognized three years ago that there was a need to have larger tugs available to respond to client’s require- ments whether for salvage, towage, construction and offshore business, a decision was made to make an investment for a tug that met some of these requirements.  Much optimism exists within Turkey over construction and offshore development and with the encouragement of our local market, considerable time was taken to identify a tug that could meet the needs within the industry. Having made significant investment during the tug’s special survey in 2011 we believe the ‘Emre Omur’ is of a high standard meeting many of the demands made by the Marine industry.
